HOW TO GET TO SAMOSIR ISLAND

Samosir Island is one of some island which has beutiful scenary and rich of culture in North Sumatera, Indonesia. Samosir Island aproximately  1000 m above sea level with 30km wide and 100km length, so this island is similar with the wide of Singapore country. Samosir island is a regency that surounded by other 6 regencies, such us: Simalungun Regency, Karo Regency, Dairi Regency, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, Tobasa Regency, North Tapanuli Regency.

Here are some way to get Samosir Island:

1. By Airplane from Singapore/Malaysia airport to – Silangit Airport – from Silangit airport you can take a public ferry from Muara (currently public from Muara to Samosir is only 2 times a week) – to Samosir Island. or from Silangit Airport you can take a public bus or charter car to – parapat aproximately 2 hrs, then from parapat pier take a public boat to Tomok aproximately 1 hr, Samosir Island.
2. By Airplane from Singapore Airport – to Kuala Namu International airport, then drive from airport to Parapat aproximately 4 hrs, then from parapat pier take a public boat to Tomok aproximately 1 hr, Samosir Island.
3. By Airplane from Malaysia Airport to –  to Kuala Namu International airport, then drive from airport to Parapat aproximately 4 hrs, then from parapat pier take a public boat to Tomok aproximately 1 hr, Samosir Island.
4. By Ferry from Singapore Seaport – to Batam seaport, then continue by other ferry – to Belawan Seaport, then continue by public transportation to Medan City aproximately 1 hr, then take the other public transportation from Medan City to Parapat lake Toba aproximately 4 hrs – then from parapat pier take a public boat to Tomok aproximately 1 hr, Samosir Island.
5. By Airplane from Singapore/Malaysia airport to Jakarta – then continue to Silangit Airport – from Silangit airport you can take a public ferry from Muara (currently public from Muara to Samosir is only 2 times a week) – to Samosir Island. or from Silangit Airport you can take a public bus or charter car to – parapat aproximately 2 hrs, then from parapat pier take a public boat to Tomok aproximately 1 hr, Samosir Island.
